You see the happy blond girl on the left? This was my friend Daron. Over a year ago she committed suicide. She tried to hang herself with christmas light’s, but while in the process thought better of it. But it was too late, all the oxygen had been cut off from her brain. When her parents found her, still half alive they rushed her too the hospital where they told them that either she can live without being able to speak ever again and being paralyzed for the rest of her life, or they can pull the plug. Daron could hear this all but had no say considering she could not speak. She even heard when her rent’s said it would be better to pull the plug. She was only 15, and had so much potential and so much to live for. Bullying took over her life. It is so easy to walk into school with a fake smile and act like nothing is wrong. Bullying kills over one million teens around the world per year. that 12,000,000 teenager’s gone since 2000, due to bullying.
Every 40 seconds a teenager commits suicide. aprox. 31,000 teen’s in america ALONE commit suicide per year. Aprox. 1,000,000 teenagers commit suicide worldwide per year.suicide is the 3rd leading cause to teen death.
